December06

Happy holidays! I can’t believe we’ve reached the end of another year! Wherever does the time go? 2006 has been an exciting year, and I feel that 2007 is going to be extraordinary.
Before I get ahead of myself though let’s take a look at this issue. December’s issue is jam-packed with information. In fact, all of your favorites are included from the press sections to the feature articles. Plus this issue includes our annual Index of Stories.. And while we are speaking of resources, the last 48 pages of this issue are dedicated to a condensed version of our annual Products & Education Guide.
You might be asking yourself why we are publishing a condensed version of such a valuable resource guide. The answer is simple… We have taken the printed version of the Products & Education Guide and brought it to life! By visiting productsandeducationguide.com you can find all the information from the printed version plus so much more. This website contains everything from basic contact information up to profiles, image galleries, direct links to vendors, and the possibility of requesting more information from a company through our online Requestor form. I could go on and on about this exciting new resource, but my space is limited. Therefore, I strongly encourage you to go and check it out for

yourself. Researching companies has just become that much easier!
As I mentioned earlier 2006 has been a very exciting year! Like Pat (see Publisher’s Note, page 6) I too have enjoyed meeting and visiting with so many of you at the shows, on the phone, and through the various discussion boards I participate in. I would also like to thank all of this year’s contributing editors. You are each a blessing to me, as well as the thousands of readers you so generously share your knowledge and passion with each month!
Take a look at the Coming Next Year column to the right and see all the exciting topics we are working on to share with you in 2007. As with every New Year you will find some old items that fall away and some new items that appear. It is our way of keeping the magazine fresh and finding new ways to share valuable information with you, our loyal readers. So this year we are saying farewell to the 30 Days to… Calendar and the Company and Educator Portraits. To find out what departments will be replacing the old, well you’ll just have to stay tuned. All will be revealed in good time.

Cheers,

Saundra
