When I am not seeing clients… I am shopping. I love checking out new products and researching what really works. I also love reading health, wellness, and skin care literature to keep me informed and gain insight on being a better professional and living a better life.
Dreaming of… finding my niche in the skin care industry. I finished school and am looking for the right opportunity. I would love to eventually own my own business.
If I was not an aesthetician… I am still working on that. I have spent the past few years bartending on the beach, so making a career change has definitely been a learning experience.
Best skin care tip… read the ingredients! Just because it says “sensitive” does not mean it will be.
My home… is cozy and full of character. I love collecting old and new pieces from all over and figuring out how to make them work together.
Favorite summer trend… bright makeup colors. Less is more with the summer heat but adding a bright coral lip gloss, shimmery gold eye shadow, or bright pastel nail polish makes me feel refreshed and enhances that summer glow.
Obsession… yoga. Stretching it out releases whatever toxins and stresses are overwhelming me. Plus you can do it anywhere.
The best thing about turning 29… a new found awareness of self. I am paying more attention to what truly fulfills me. I am also treasuring my family more than ever.
Guilty pleasure… pizza and cold beer.
Most memorable celebrity encounter… when I was six, my parents took me to a Randy Travis concert. My dad held me up above the crowd and I reached out and Randy Travis shook my hand! Recently, I saw the Dalai Lama speak at a local university. That was humbling.
My Favorite superhero… Wonder Woman – no one can pull off gold accessories quite like her!
My aesthetics mentor… Miss Eva, my instructor at Florida College of Natural Health; She proves it is never too late to pursue a new passion and learning never ends, especially in the skin care industry.
Words of wisdom… have fun! This life is only what you make of it so you might as well take as many deep breaths as possible. At the end of the day it is just you. So, you might as well have fun with yourself!
