When I am not seeing clients… I am taking care of my family, my three cats, antiquing, gardening and reading anything I can related to aesthetics.
Dreaming of… going on my next cruise. I have not been to the Mediterranean and think a cruise would be a wonderful way to explore this part of the world.
If I was not an aesthetician… I would be a travel agent. I have planned vacations for my family and friends for years. I like researching vacation spots and learning as much as I can about an area before I travel there. To say I am detail oriented is an understatement.
Best skin care tip… is to be consistent! Whether you are dealing with aging, rosacea, acne, or just trying to maintain your skin health, if you are not consistent with your home care you will not get the results you want. And of course, monthly facials are a must!
My home… is the best place to be. I am surrounded by my family, my pets, and the things I have collected over the years. My home is truly a reflection of who I am.
Favorite summer trend… are brightly colored animal prints. What a great way to take a classic print and give it a new twist for the summer season.
Obsession… my current obsession is what I am reading and learning regarding all the new research in skin care ingredients.
The best thing about turning 50… I am looking forward to turning 50 at the end of this year. The fact that I am looking forward to it is the best thing. My motto has always been to enjoy where you are now in your life.
My aesthetics mentor is… anyone in the field of aesthetics. I am not afraid to ask questions and I ask a lot of them. That is the way you learn and I love learning. In this field there is always something new on the horizon and I owe it to my clients to stay as informed as possible so that I can give them the best advice.
Words of wisdom… stay true to who you are.
What was the last song you listened to? “I Gotta Feeling,” by the Black Eyed Peas
My favorite book is… “The Red Tent,” by Anita Diamant. It is historical fiction about the story of Dinah, found in the book of Genesis. I also enjoy reading anything by Philippa Gregory since historical fiction is my favorite genre.
