51 | married | two sons  | NYS licensed aesthetician | Baywater, NY

When I am not seeing clients… I can be found reading trade publications, textbooks, magazines, or attending CE classes to stay abreast of our ever changing industry.

Dreaming of… being successful in this business and learning as much
as possible.

If I were not an aesthetician… I would still be teaching elementary school and loving it.

Best skin care tip… be an informed consumer, know what is out there, and have an ongoing conversation with your aesthetician regarding your treatment.

My home… is a welcoming haven; we are blessed and highly favored and we share that with
our houseguests.

Favorite fall trend… the colors that issue in the season; they surround us everywhere we go.

Obsession… being all I can be!

The best thing about turning 50… at 50 I was a three year breast cancer survivor, starting my aesthetic program, and wondering where this journey would take me.

Guilty pleasure… trying way too many recipes I see on the Food Network channel!

Most memorable celebrity encounter/experience…was meeting and having my picture taken with Bishop Desmond TuTu.

My favorite Super Hero is… ME! Ladies we all know Women Rule!

My aesthetics mentor is… Vanessa Horn; she will never know how much her guidance meant during my course work, and her friendship, and heartfelt concerns still warms my soul.

Words of wisdom… once you learn to love, respect, and honor yourself, the possibilities are endless.

What was the last song you listened to? “What About Love” from “The Color Purple.”

My favorite book is… “The Norton Anthology of African American Literature,” and “Financial Peace University,” by Dave Ramesy!
