What are you most proud of? I’m proud that I took the initiative to switch gears in my professional life and pursue a career that I felt would inspire and motivate me. Luckily, it has paid off, and I’m thrilled to be able to do what I’m passionate about.

What’s the one thing you want in your spa, but you don’t have?A multi-function unit for facials.

If you suddenly found $1,000 spare cash, how would you spend it? I would save most of it, but set aside a little fun money and treat myself to a facial and massage.

What’s your biggest distraction at work? Certain clients/patients who are chronically late.

What’s your favorite treatment to give/receive? I love giving and receiving microdermabrasion treatments.

If you could only have one product in your bathroom, what would it be? Moisturizer with SPF.

What types of marketing give your business the best exposure for the money? Our practice gets great exposure from advertisements in local magazines.

altWhat helped you understand how to effectively retail your products? Trying out the products at home so that I can be fully educated about them.

How have you stayed motivated throughout your career? I stay motivated through education. I love learning about the newest products, ingredients, treatments, and techniques.

What inspires you to continue working in the aesthetic industry? It’s easy to stay inspired because the industry is never dull. There is always a new product or treatment to try, or a new client to help.

What information did you learn after you started working that you wish you had learned in school? More practical skills such as business and retailing.

How do you feel about mandatory continuing education for license renewal? I think it’s a fantastic idea, but there needs to be flexibility as to what is defined as “continuing education.”

Do you feel it is appropriate to perform bikini/Brazilian waxes in the spa? I do. It is a service that many clients prefer, so why deny them?
